She was born in New York, in July 1927 and graduated from Oceanside High School. She and her husband, Al, raised three children in Oceanside and remained there until retirement. They then moved to Carolina Shores, NC and briefly to Spring Hill, Fl., until finally returning to Carolina Shores.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary Hertling; daughter, Amy Omundsen; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Al; her parents, Kathryn and Otis; and son, Alfred.
