Born February 24, 1947 in Columbus County, Cynthia was daughter of the late Jesse Clyde Gore and Rachel Miller Gore. She moved to Shallotte Point, where she met her late husband, David Wayne Williams, and together they raised their family in the close-knit community. They stayed deeply involved in their community and were always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. She found joy in crafting and caring for her yard, and her gift for cooking was cherished by all who knew her. Her devotion to her family ran deep, and she treasured the many camping trips they shared in the mountains. She was a longtime member of Village Point Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Monroe Gore.
Survivors include her children, David Christopher Williams of Stafford, Virginia and Amy Gutierrez of Supply, North Carolina; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Adams of Salisbury, North Carolina; grandchildren, Chynna Meghan Williams, Zachary David Williams and wife Jessica, and Gregory David Gutierrez; great grandchild, Ava Elizabeth Williams and another great grandchild on the way; several nieces, nephews, and a special cousin.
A Celebration of Life will be at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Village Point Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from ten o’clock until eleven o’clock at the church.
