David Bradley Wiggins was born on July 14, 1961 in Hernando, Mississippi. His parents, Jack and Ethel Wiggins considered David the most wonderful gift! The family moved to Glendale, MS when David was in the fifth grade. He attended North Forrest High School, Jones Junior College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Kentucky University. He played football and played trumpet in the band. David enjoyed many activities as a young man including riding motorcycles, hunting, riding horses, water skiing (including being a member of an exhibition water skiing team,) and hanging out with friends.
David worked in the Chemical industry in many aspects for 41 years. He met his wife, Lynne in October of 1987 and they were married July 16, 1988. Trent, Grant, and Molly came along soon thereafter. Three children and 36 years later, they were still inseparable and so in love. David enjoyed kayaking and cycling later in life. He also ran 5Ks for charity with Lynne and the kids at times. Family always came first and David and Lynne took the kids on many adventures. Some of those adventures included moving to a new state. They settled in the Nashville, TN area in 1998 and lived there for 20 years. David loved the beach. He and Lynne built their final home at Ocean Isle Beach, NC where they have enjoyed many days on the porches enjoying the view. David loved hiking and beach walking. He loved his church and enjoyed participating in the beach service at Sunset Beach.
David went home to Heaven on May 16, 2025 after a brave eight-year battle with cancer.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, May 21st at 2:00 EST at Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Interment will be at Mintz Cemetery, Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina.
David is survived by his wife, Lynne Wiggins; his three children, Trent Wiggins(Stacey), Grant Wiggins(Taylor), Molly Wiggins, Granddaughters, Avery Kate Wiggins and Olivia Rae Wiggins; Grandson, Walker James Wiggins; Sister, Sharon Morgan; and lots of nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Jackson Wiggins and Alice Ethelyn Bobbitt Wiggins, brothers Lewis Ray Wiggins and Rodney Wayne Wiggins.
