Debbie was born September 2, 1954 in Louisiana, daughter of the late Neil Fitze and Mary Elizabeth Jacobs Fitze. She served in the United States Air Force where she was the Honor Guard Supervisor. Debbie was a kindhearted woman who never judged people but loved them as they were. She never met a stranger and enjoyed laughing with family and friends. Her family meant everything to her and she loved to sing karaoke all across Brunswick County with her husband. Debbie was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Michael Wade Long, Sr. of the home; children, Melissa Trotta of Shallotte, Mindy Sellers of Supply, and Michael Long, Jr. of Angier; eight grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Dallas, Rose, Rachel, Ryver, Jacob, and Joseph; and one great grandson, Braxton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
