

Dian Guy Robbins, 85, of Sunset Beach, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2026. She was born in Washington, DC, on September 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Norman Blair Guy and Inez Josephine Walton Guy.
Dian began her career as a sixth-grade teacher in Bexley, Ohio, later working as a substitute teacher before joining the State of Ohio Educational Resources, where she trained educators on how to integrate computer software into their classrooms. She went on to work for an educational software company before retiring to Sunset Beach.
In retirement, Dian embraced her passion for decorating by starting her own business, It’s All About You, through which she helped many in the Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle communities create welcoming homes. She also enjoyed working part-time at the store formerly known as Shady Oak.
Dian was a vibrant and social person who loved connecting with others. She enjoyed playing bridge, arranging flowers, participating in the garden club, and was an active member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church. She gave generously of her time to many community events and committees.
Dian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas Robbins and grandson, Zachary Farwell.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Robbins Nearn (Robert) of Atlanta, GA; her son, Scott Robbins (Libby) of Galt, CA; and her beloved grandchildren: Kaitlynn Strong (Shaun), Sam Farwell (Kendelle), and Ainsley Robbins. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Isadora Strong, Ezmae, Greysten, and Maizie Farwell; her niece, Kimberly Criser (Marshall); and nephews, Steven Robbins (Shellie) and Kevin Robbins (Paige).
