Donnie Lee Milligan, 69, of Ash went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday February 21st, 2018. Donnie was born in Columbus County on October 8, 1948. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Milligan. Mr. Milligan was a Quality Assurance Evaluator with Sunny Point in Southport prior to his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening with his 1956 Farmall and playing his guitar. He was a member of Full Life Fellowship of Ash. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Ellen Gore Milligan; two children, Michelle Ransom and husband David of Whiteville, Donnie Milligan II and wife Lisa of Ash; four grandchildren, Morgan Ransom, Blake Ransom, Christian Milligan, Courtney Milligan and a great grandchild, Kenley Milligan; two brothers, Ricky Caison of Supply, Ronald Milligan of Jacksonville, Fl.; two sisters, Nancy Smith and Beverly Tatro of Supply. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family this evening Friday February 23rd, 2018 from six o’clock until eight o’clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Milligan personally but through conversations with his son Donnie learned that he was a man of great character and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the Milligan family.
