Mrs. Brown was born February 17, 1932, daughter of the late Paul Blanchard and Lou Ella Fuller Blanchard. After moving to Brunswick County, she worked as a school teacher for many years until her career in banking led her to retirement. She was a member of Brunswick Islands Baptist Church until her health would not allow her to attend. Her hobbies included cooking, working in her flowers, and shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Huey “Junior” Hewett and wife Terry of Supply and Lester “Dean” Hewett and wife Nancy of Supply; three grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Silent Grove Cemetery with Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating.
