Doug Caldwell recently from Shallotte, NC and formerly of Charlotte, NC entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father who proudly welcomed him to his eternal home on March 21, 2022. Doug was full of life until cancer weakened his body but not his spirit or faith.
Doug was a lifelong fisherman. He was happiest when he was fishing off the coast of the Florida Keys and Islamorada. His love of his classic cars lead him to many car shows where he formed lifelong friendships. A ride in his pickup truck wouldn’t be complete without his faithful Labrador Parker Joe Barker. Doug was a custom home builder.
During the last eight months Doug fought a courageous battle against cancer. He was blessed to have his wife Alicia by his side until he drew his last breath. As a Christian, Doug relied on the encouragement of his pastor Rev. Doug Agnew. When his body weakened and he knew his time was near he said he was ready to meet Jesus. Doug knew his eternal rest would be walking the streets of gold and hearing the words “Well Done Good And Faithful Servant”.
Doug is survived by his wife Alicia Stoker Caldwell, his brother Randy Sharpe Caldwell and many close friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daris West and Howard Sharpe Caldwell.
