Ed was an amazing man, at one of the lowest moments in my life he allowed me to become a part of the Comprehensive Home Health team in 1981 and the original 13.  He changed my life.  Allowed me to grow and change in my career as an RN to be more than I ever thought I would be.  Laughter and hard work was a part of our life.  Love of family and care for all who worked with and for him.  There will never be another Ed, he was one of a kind.  My thoughts and prayers to his children, family and to all who worked with him.  Blessings

I am so saddened to hear of  Ed's death. I began working with Ed in 1985. I am still working in Home Care and I attribute my successes to the strong foundation and roots I attained under Mr. Harris 's leadership. He ran his leadership team much like a strong coach. He saw more in me than I saw in myself and taught leadership, strength, overcoming adversity and most of all  how to "Score". His measure of success was excellence from the employees and most of all for the patients. He was so proud of his employees and honestly would "brag" about them as he would his own children. No patient was ever turned away and they were all well cared for.
At Christmas whether it was RC Colas and Moon Pies or Country Hams he was present to thank the employees.
Never underestimate how one person can touch the lives of so many. Praying for the family during this sad time. 

Prayers for strength at this sad time.  I starting working with Ed at CHHC in 1984, what a great place to work!  The people Ed hired were all such wonderful people! John, Bernice, Van, Pat, Jimmy, Bud, Sara, Catherine, Bill, Arnetta and Joy! 
Then we grew!! So many offices and again the best people. Ed was truly a leader and had such great vision..The eye of the tiger!!!

So sorry to hear about Ed's death.  I was hired by him in 1987 with Comprehensive.  He was always thinking of his employees and knew everyone's names and their families. Was an honor to have worked for him.  Mary Watson

Though we never met, we are cousins, according to my DNA. I and my family are from Richmond Va.
He will be sadly missed by so many, as those Harris men are the forefathers that founded this country and they gave freely of themselves to God, Family, country and their communities. May God give comfort to all his immediate family and know that he will live forever in your hearts and minds, and his legacy will live on.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Harris family.  I am so sad to hear the news of Ed's passing.  I went to work for CHHC out of college and spent many years working for Ed.  Some of my fondest memories are of those days.  He was an amazing man and a great leader. He cared about his employees and we cared about him.  Much love to Carol, Allison, Katie and family.

My prayers are with Ed's family.  I loved Ed & the entire Harris family.  I began working for him in 1988 and had much respect for his hard work & extreme knowledge of the Home Care business.  He was extremely good to all of his employees & was loved by them.  May God keep him in his loving arms.  Patsy

I had the privilege of working for Mr. Ed Harris with CHHC.  He was truly a great man when it came to his employees.  He did know all of us by name .  He helped me thru a major crisis that he didn't have to do but he did it anyway.  He always said, "The more you do for your employees, the more they will do for you".  Go Rest High Mr. Ed.  My life is fuller because of knowing Mr. Ed.  I pray God will send comfort and peace to the family as only He can give

So sorry to hear of Mr. Ed Harris passing. I was one of his employee's at CHHC in the Mid 80's--90's; he was a good man and will be missed by many. My deepest condolence to Allison, Katie, Carole, the entire family.Love, hugs and prayers.

I will always remember that Mr. Harris knew all of his employees by name. I started working at CHHC in 1985 as a receptionist and everytime he called the office he would call you by name. At Christmas when he handed out turkeys to the employees he would call you by name. Always respected him. I am sorry for your loss. I know he will be greatly missed.
