

Elma was born May 31, 1957 in Columbus County, daughter of Paul Gore and the late Phyllis Milligan Gore. She was a hard worker and a dedicated caregiver to her father for many years. Elma enjoyed spending time with her family, watching westerns and crime scene shows. Before her illness, she enjoyed working in her flowers and feeding her many hummingbirds.
In addition to her father, survivors include her children, Stephanie McCumbee (David) of Ash and Hanna Maroney (Jarrad) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; very special friend and caregiver, Jammie King of Ash; brothers, Ernie Gore (Monica) of Ash, Timmy Gore of Bolivia, and Mark Gore (Gina) of Shallotte; sister, Nicole King (Randy) of Ash; six grandchildren, Paige, Allie, Brandon, Jasmine, Kohen, and Cain; three great grandchildren, Natalie, Bryson, and Landon; and her special canine companion who stayed by her side, Ryder.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Zion Baptist Church in Ash with Reverend Jason Benton officiating. Burial will follow in Griffin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jarrad Maroney, David McCumbee, Paul Ruiz, Taylor Parker, Dawson King, and Adam Milligan.
