Ferrell Smith

Mr. Smith was born in Columbus County April 17, 1946, son of the late Odell and Adell Coleman Smith. He retired from Federal Paper in Riegelwood. He was a member of Soldier Bay Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Smith of the home; two children, Kevin F. Smith and wife Shelly of Ash and Angela D. Smith of Ash; step-children, Connie Thaler and husband Andy of Kentucky, Laurie Null and husband Jamie of Kentucky, Ronnie Mintz and wife Denise of Shallotte; grandchildren, Courtney Rebecca Cooper, Cheyenne Harrison, Zachary Hughes, Kirby O. Smith, Sarah Kamyrn Smith; step-grandchildren, Amber Mintz, Nathaniel Mintz, Jonathan Mintz, Monica Grant, Candace Grant, Dalton Grant, Andrew Thaler, and Ryan Thaler.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 at one o’clock in the afternoon as the Azor James Smith Cemetery, Longwood Road, Ash. Reverend Jason Benton will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Smith, Kevin Smith, Nathan Mintz, Jonathan Mintz, Zachary Hughes, Andrew Thaler, Dalton Grant, and Andy Thaler.

The family will receive friends at the home.
