Florence E. Artus

Florence Erma Artus age 91 of Shallotte, NC passed away Tuesday March 17, 2015 at the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia.

She was born in Granite Springs, NY on September 15, 1923 the daughter of the late, Herman Paustain and Rita S. Paustain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Smith Artus, II; a son, Henry Smith Artus, III; also two sisters, Emma, and Louise; three brothers, Burton, Charles and James.

Mrs. Artus was a member of Village Point United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Joan Naylor and husband, David of Montgomery, NY and Florence Sampson and husband, James of Shallotte, NC; a brother, Walter Paustain and wife, Lucille of North Hudson, NY; seven grandchildren, Renee Copley, James Sampson, III, Kevin Sampson, David Naylor and, Ashley Artus; eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM Friday March 20, 2015 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel by Pastor Don Barclay officiating.
