Floy Carlton Jones III

Floy C. (Chappy) Jones III, a resident of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at his home. Born on August 28, 1938, Chappy lived a life marked by dedication, hard work and kindness to those around him. A proud graduate of Lehigh University in Industrial Engineering, he carried the values of education, perseverance and integrity throughout his life. He was employed by Greif Plastic Drum, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment over the years. Chappy was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church where he served as a reader of scriptures, a veteran of the United States Army, was instrumental in starting the Young Republicans and Jaycees of Armstrong County, an avid golfer and a master gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jones; a brother-in-law, Michael Sakash; niece, Alison Baklarz; nephews, Michael A Sakash and Mack C. Sakash.

Chappy will be remembered for his warm spirit, Wisdom and the love he shared with family and friends. He touched many lives and leaves behind cherished memories that will never be forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be held on May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St Brendan’s Catholic Church.
