Helen Gray Mayers age 70 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Monday January 26, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
She was born in Brunswick County on October 22, 1944, the daughter of the late Hannie and Lula Butler Hawes and was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Mayers; also two brothers, Don Archie Hawes, and Danny Hawes; two sisters, Doris Herring and Pauline Inman.
Surviving is a daughter, Annette Hall of Ocean Isle Beach; a son, Michael Cooper also of Ocean Isle Beach; three sisters, Lisa Harden, Magaline Lewis and Carrie Hawes; two grandchildren, Alexander Michael Hall and Kayla Mary Buckingham.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday January 31, 2015 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel 3660 Express Drive Shallotte with Pastor Timothy Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Gurganus Cemetery Shallotte.
