Growing up across the street from Susan and Ikey is a memory I will always cherish. Susan and I were close buddies and our brothers never got the attention she and I did — but Ikey and Clyde were right there! Ikey was always smiling and reminded me of his Daddy Gene! Such fond memories of our neighborhood will always include Susan and Ikey and Gene and Velma! My family and Susan’s family are surely up there on streets of gold right now— sharing all the good times!! I know Susan and I will be right there too— one day!

I looked up to Ike growing up through the years. He was an inspiration to me. He taught me what it took to make it to the top in the electrical field and life. He will be missed. May our Lord bring you His Peace and Comfort in this time. God Bless.

In my early teen years I had the pleasure of knowing Ike, though distant, we share some of the same bloodline. He lived life the way he wanted. Enjoyed life the way he wanted and did not allow anyone to disrespect the ladies in his presence. " Simple man", great heart! Tommy Lee, my husband, says he enjoyed the 2nd street days in the red party van with the Boonesfarm. RIP my friend!
