Jim was a proud graduate of Drexel University and worked as a professional engineer for his entire career following his service in the United States Naval Air Reserve. Since Jim considered himself a foodie, he would frequently be found in the kitchen cooking up special recipes for his family and friends. He and his wife also loved to travel. They especially enjoyed taking cruises around the world and exploring different cultures. Jim had an analytical way of thinking, loved to fix things, and always prided himself on being an avid problem solver. All those who have interacted with Jim loved his personality, and especially enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Nadine, of 28 years; loving children Lisa D’Avanzo (Giuseppe), Jamie, and Jill; sister Lorraine Lachman; brother Robert; grandchildren Simona, Sofia, and Giulia; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jim was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle. In his leisure time, he thoroughly enjoyed watching and playing golf. Above all else, though, he cherished quality time spent with family and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
The family of James Pizzola would like to thank everyone for their love and support as we celebrate his life and legacy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
