Mr. Sherrill was born in Gaston County, NC on October 26, 1947 and was the son of the late James Monroe Sherrill Sr. and Elener Dilling Sherrill. He retired from Intracoastal Services as an installer in the HVAC industry. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and collecting cars.
Butch is survived by two children, Megan Sherrill of Shallotte, Shawn Robbins of Supply; a step-daughter, Cindy Robbins of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Rylon, Haley, Draven, Cody; three sisters, Diana Calloway of Ocean Isle, Kathy Gettman of Bolivia, Teresa Scott of Ocean Isle.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday December 22, 2016 at six o’clock in the evening at Lighthouse Baptist Church located on Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia with Pastor Robert Lucas officiating.
