Jane Bullock

Norma Jane Bullock (Triplett), 74, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Supply, North Carolina surrounded by her husband and two daughters after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on May 19, 1950, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, Jane lived a life filled with love, generosity, and faith.

Jane dedicated her career to education, assisting faculty and students at the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s English department, Duke University's Greek studies, and Stanford Middle School. Her commitment left a lasting impact on those she interacted with over the years.

Beyond her professional life, Jane found joy in traveling with her husband and cat Maggie in their RV, exploring the U.S. She had a deep love for fishing and gardening and cherished trips to Cherokee. As a crafter, Jane enjoyed making things by hand, recreating and refinishing old items with care and creativity.

Jane’s kindness and compassion were evident in every aspect of her life. She was a loving and generous person who remained faithful throughout her journey. Her devotion to the Lord was a guiding force that shaped her relationships and actions.

Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Mike Bullock; daughters Marlo Broyles (James) and Farrah Mann (Shannon); two grandchildren Tyler Broyles and Peyton Broyles; sister Cynthia Seifer; nephew Jeff Dix; and cherished grand-dogs Gracie and Zeus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rachel Triplett.

A memorial gathering will be held on March 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cape Fear Christian Church, located at 811 N. College Rd., Wilmington, North Carolina, 28405. In memory of Jane and her love for fellowship, attendees are invited to bring their favorite covered dish to share in fellowship.

Jane’s warmth and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she left behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation, if you wish, be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare (Hospice) or the V Foundation for cancer research in Jane's memory.
