Janette Long

Janette was born September 15, 1939 in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Grady Smith and Letha Simmons Smith. She was a longtime active member of Prospect Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with all her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moore Long, six brothers and sisters, one granddaughter, and four sons, Robert, Charles, Grady, and Allen.

Survivors include her children, C.M. Long, Joey Long, and Collie Long; daughter-in-law, Peggy Long; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren; 1 special niece, Dinia Woodard with whom she spent much time with.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 7, 2021 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Prospect Baptist Church with Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2021 from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina.
