Born in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lewis David Shankle and Delma Mary Betts Shankle.
Survivors include three children, Nancy Draper Masser, Robert Draper, Jr., Terry Glenn Draper and six grandchildren, Jessica Masser, Megan Masser Reaves, Krista Draper DeMeza, Laura Draper Watts, Linda Draper Foster and Micheal Draper.
A Private Celebration of Life service will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice in honor of Janice Draper.
