She was the reason I got my first fully functioning vehicle. She talked to me about all its quirks and especially that red ribbon. She believed that it was a lucky ribbon that would protect me from having a car accident. I kept that ribbon in the truck for as long as I drove it. It felt like a part of her was with me.

The day Aunt Jane arrived to stay with us for a month was the start of an extraordinary adventure, filled with laughter, joy and togetherness.

Matt and I send our prayers and love in hopes it will bring peace and comfort as you mourn the loss of a beloved woman. Miss Janie was such a delightful person, always smiling and bringing joy to everyone she met. It was an absolute blessing to have known her.

Grandma Janie you will be greatly missed. Love you always ❤️.

I know what a great loss this is for the family;  sons, daughters, grandchildren, respective wives and husbands.  Miss Janie was a force of nature and a one of a kind lady.  Straight shooter, never met a stranger and always with a quick smile or funny quip.  She turned up at Seaside United Methodist Church faithfully on Tuesdays to pick up food for her peers that were homebound.  Such generosity in one small lady.  I feel honored that as a friend, she asked me to come and pray with her in her last days.  Janie had such incredible faith and courage. She was so ready to pass on to her promised home in heaven and join those that went before her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her "beach walkers".  Rest in peace Janie and I know we will meet again.

I worked at UHCO and whenever I would enter the library,  Ms. Janie was always a welcoming and friendly face. She was  never without a smile or a slight twinkle in her eye. I remember how professional she always was and never had  a hair out of place. She was a lovely woman  with a gentle soul. RIP Ms. Janie.

After breakfast, you wouldn't let me drive us around, and insisted on driving me around your neighborhood. Eventually we made it down to the beach you walk everyday and you took me up and down the coast.
