Jesse "Billy" Cromwell Robinson Jr.

Mr. Robinson was born in Brunswick County on September 28, 1929 and was the son of the late Jesse Cromwell Robinson Sr. and Ruth Roach Robinson. He worked for Brunswick County Schools as a mechanic in the school bus garage. Billy will always be remembered for his great corn meal. He was a member of Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F. & A.M and he received his fifty year pin in 2019. Has preceded in death by his wife, June Robinson, granddaughter, Abby Perry, sister, Peggy McLamb, brothers, Jack Robinson, Terry Robinson and Blondell Robinson.

He is survived by two daughters, April Robinson and husband Mike of Shallotte and Lisa Robinson Ward of Longwood; two grandsons, Coby Walker and Jay Ward; two brothers, Mack Robinson of Texas and Tommy Robinson of Supply; a special friend, Brian Thornberg.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday October 15, 2025 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Silent Grove Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Hewett officiating and Masonic Rites accorded by Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F. & A.M.

Pallbearers will be Mike Orzell, Brian Thornberg, Dwayne Apple, Scott Abbot, Alex Mawji and Mark Nance.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Robinson, Colton Robinson, Brent Robinson, O'Brian Robinson, Coby Walker and Jay Ward.

The family would like give a special thanks to his caregivers Lisa Parker and the staff of Lower Cape Fear Lifecare.
