

Johnnie Delmore Smith Jr., age 63, of Supply, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center due to heart failure. Johnnie was born October 25, 1962, in Southport, NC. He was the only son of the late Johnnie Delmore Smith Sr. and the late Juanita Hewett Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest son, Brandon Earl Smith.
Johnnie was a retired brick mason and owned a successful bail bonding business in Brunswick County. He believed strongly in helping those in need and was known for his kindness and compassion. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He loved his family and friends deeply, adored his many puppies—his “babies”—and had a lifelong passion for riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Inman Smith of Bladenboro; and his soulmate of 16 years, Angila Ezzell of Bladenboro. He is also survived by his children: Terry Smith of Virginia, Johnathan Smith of Supply, Rebekah Gregg Smith (Jordan) of Bladenboro, and Lydia Russ Smith of Bladenboro. His grandchildren include Aiden Smith, Jordan Smith, and Haylee Smith, all of Virginia, and his youngest grandchild, Levi Mears of Bladenboro.
The only brother among five sisters, he leaves behind Teresa Ann Clemmons (Earl) of Supply, Debbie Long (Ricky) of Supply, Lillie West of Ocean Isle Beach, Lois Carter of Supply, and Becky Little (David) of Shallotte. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Johnnie’s life will be held at Shell Point Baptist Church on Friday February 2026 at Five O'clock in the evening
