Joseph Lee "Sonny Boy" Long Jr., born on April 10, 1960, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Joseph was a resident of Shallotte, North Carolina. He was born in Columbus County, North Carolina and was the son of the late Joseph Lee Long Sr. and Hazel Gertrude Long. He was preceded in death by his wife Rhonda Kay Evans Long and a nephew Shannon Long.
He is survived by two sisters, Wanda Long and husband Arnold Ray of Ash and Juanita Long Duncan of Holden Beach; a step-son, Willie Hewett and wife Tina of Shallotte; sister in-laws, Dee Dee Sellers and husband George of Shallotte, Kathy Sue Horn and husband Anthony of Shallotte and Shelly Evans of Shallotte; brother in-law, Richard Harold Evans and wife Kathy of Shallotte; a niece, Marie Caison and a nephew, Dotridge Wayne Duncan.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening November 14th from six o'clock until eight o'clock at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel
