Kelly King Tippett

Kelly was born in New Hanover County, May 23, 1968, and was the daughter of Jerry D. King and Lamar Gore King of Winnabow. She was preceded in death by a son, Cameron Tippett. Kelly was employed by Brunswick County Schools at Bolivia Elementary School and Town Creek Elementary School. She loved traveling, gardening, and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, and loved animals, especially her puppies.

Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband Tim Tippett of the home; daughter Hailey Johnson and husband Tad of Salisbury; and sister, Leslie King of Winnabow.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at two o'clock in the afternoon at New Britton Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Tippett, Mike Buttitta, John Johnson, Mason Brendle, Ervin Etheridge, and Tad Johnson. Mike Blue will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
