Kindle was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Bright and Lula Mae Evans; brothers Elder Bright Jr., Carl, Jerry, Daniel, Thurman and Charles and a sister, Ilene. He leaves behind his wife Anne, of Supply, children, Ken of Durham, Melissa (Gray) of Oak Island; who he was so proud of. He also leaves behind, a sister, Judy Foster (Jerry) of Bolivia, Rocky (Tina) of Ash, a brother-in-law; Don Simmons of Supply and a special niece Marie Graham (Chuck) of Flower Mound, TX, who he considered his daughter, along with several nieces and nephews who adored him.
He and Anne started dating in 1992 and married in July of 2001. He was Anne’s protector and the love of her life and he had never been happier.
Kindle retired from Duke Energy in 2018 after 32 years, starting as a pipe fitter and welder and then becoming a Quality Control inspector.
He would go out of his way to help anybody, often assisting friends and neighbors with whatever help they needed, never wanting recognition. He was an active member of New Beginnings Community Church, a volunteer for Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, a dog Dad to JoJo and Merica, and foster Dad to over 30 R.A.C.E rescue dogs. He was a member of the local CBA club and Beach House HOG motorcycle chapters and rode in countless charity rides. Kindle always looked forward to Bike Week in Myrtle Beach every May, especially the burn outs at SSB and Spokes.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26 from 6 pm until 8pm at New Beginnings Community Church, 730 Whiteville Rd, Shallotte. Family and friends are invited to New Beginnings Thursday, May 27 at 2pm to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, please to do what you can for others. His favorite charities, if you would like to donate in his memory, were Lower Cape Fear LifeCare at Lifecare.org and R.A.C.E. at raceshelter.org.
