Larry Young Sr

Mr. Young was born in Onslow County on November 25, 1953 and was the son of the late Albert Glenn Young and Sara Elizabeth Reeves Young. he retired from E.I Dupont and Dak Americas after 50 plus years of employment. Mr. Young was one of only two individuals to be certified as a Operator in Charge Level Five in North Carolina. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Brunswick County Fishing Club and Lebanon Baptist Church.

He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Glenn Young.

He is survived by his wife, Debby R. Young of the home; a son, Larry Neal Young, Jr. of Winnabow; grandchildren, Skylar Young and husband Frederick Thomas and Logan Neal Young; great grandson, Gabriel Bennett Thomas; two sisters, Rosemary Young and husband Billy Rivenbark of Leland, Pattie Shannon and Husband Donnie of Oak Island; a brother, Ken Young and wife Carolyn of Winnabow; a sister in-law, Cindy Sullivan of Winnabow; a honorary sister, Bertha Bland and a honorary brother, Gary W. "Catfish" Nowell, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 10, 2026 at eleven o'clock am at White Funeral and Cremation Service Lou Ellen White Memorial Chapel, 4690 East Coast Lane, Shallotte with Pastor Ruthlene Freeman officiating.

A reception will follow immediately after the service

Visitation will be held at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel, 4690 East Coast Lane, Shallotte, NC, on July 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Interment will be at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Funston Road, Winnabow, NC.
