Margaret "Peggie" Lawn

Born on November 17, 1957, in Philadelphia, PA, Peggie was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Moddie) Lawn. She grew up in Middletown, NJ, where she made lifelong childhood memories and enjoyed many summers at the shore in Ocean City, NJ. Peggie built a fulfilling professional life, beginning her career with Prudential Insurance in New Jersey. She later dedicated many years to a long, rewarding career with Main Line Health in the Philadelphia area before her well-earned retirement.

Peggie moved to Calabash as her home a few years back so she could spend her days close to her sisters, who were truly her best friends. She deeply enjoyed spending fun times, especially holidays, with her entire extended family, soaking up the sun during beach and pool days, and recently loved game days with her new North Carolina friends. She brought immense warmth to those around her and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished family moments.

Peggie is survived by her devoted siblings, Barbara Chaney (Mitch), Tom Lawn (Sue), Michelle Egge (the late Bill), and Jim Lawn (Gina). She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, who brought immense happiness to her life, as well as a wonderful circle of friends.

A service to honor and celebrate Peggie will be held at a later date in her birthplace of Philadelphia.
