She was predeceased by her parents, Edmund T. Silk and Florence Colli Silk, and her brother, Edmund V. Silk. She is survived by two nieces, Susan L. Silk of Sunset Beach, NC and Melinda J. Silk of Carolina Shores, NC.
Margaret was born and attended school in Windsor Locks, CT. She moved to Boston, MA shortly after high school where she worked at BMW Technologies, Professional Designs, Cramer Electronics, KLH Research & Development, and John Hancock Insurance. She retired to Wilmington, NC in 2008.
Margaret was known for her vivacious personality and great sense of humor. She loved meeting people, traveling, music, going to the theater, and volunteering in Boston and Wilmington. She leaves behind many good friends and family members with whom she shared many laughs. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
