Marie Theresa Munn

She was born in Trenton, NJ on January 25, 1931 the daughter of the late John Leadem and Anna Koenig Leadem and was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Munn of 58 years, also a son, Christopher Munn and a son-in-law, James Mahan.

Mrs. Munn was very active in the Sunset Beach Community. She was an active member of St Brendan Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Waterway Art Association, Sea Trail Garden Club, Sea Trail Library Volunteers, Golden Girls Club, “9” Holer’s Club, Sunset Beach Volunteers and Union Elementary School Volunteer. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives she touched.

Surviving are her loving children, David Munn of Little River, SC, Janet Munn and wife, Mary Ann Hoskinson of Wilmington, NC, Margaret Mahan also of Wilmington, NC and Dr. Rick Munn and wife, Nicole of Denver, CO; a cherished sister, Clare Munn and husband, Kenn of Little River, SC; five grandchildren, Heather Hires, Lena Munn, Sean Mahan, Laura Sanchez, and Kelly Mahan; three great-grandchildren, Giovanni Monti, Corbin Hires and Luis Sanchez, Jr.; two beloved nieces, Barbara Hawthorn and Kate Slavin; and a host of many nieces and nephews.

A mass of the resurrection will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday February 24, 2016 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, immediately followed by a reception at the church.
