Mark was born in Pennsylvania on December 9, 1954, son of Helen Augustine Borrell and the late Edward Borrell. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy, and a proud craftsman having worked with his father at Lanum Metal Products for several decades. He enjoyed playing pool with friends and tinkering in his garage. He spent most Saturdays with his family at Oaklane Speedway in the early 2000s, and Sundays with his family and friends watching the Eagles (like every other Eagles fan he hated the Cowboys). He was quick witted and enjoyed a good laugh.
Mark wore many hats – figuratively and literally. Compliments were never far behind as he stood out in crowds with his bowler caps and three-quarter top hat that he wore almost anywhere.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by is his sister Lisa Samuels.
In addition to his mother, Helen Borrell, Mark is survived by: his children Faith Bonsall of Pennsylvania, Patricia Borrell Kutnyak of New York, Emily DiDomenico of Pennsylvania, and Marianne Borrell of Ocean Isle Beach; his grandchildren Elizabeth, Vincent and Linda DiDomenico.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services are planned.
Donations can be made in Mark’s honor to either: The Gary Sinise Foundation (https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/donate/) or the UPenn Pancreatic Cancer Research Center (https://www.med.upenn.edu/pcrc/donate.html)
