Mark T. Dowd, 75, of Boliva, NC, passed away on January 26th, 2015. He was born in New York, NY, son of the late Mark and Betty Dowd.
Mark served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army, and retired as a Director of Finance for IBM. He continued to serve his communities in Tampa, Florida and Wilmington, North Carolina as a Guardian ad Litem and District Court Mediator volunteer.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 53 years, Maryann Dowd, his son Stephen Dowd and wife Kathleen, and grandchildren, Maryjane, Mark, and Patrick Dowd.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Brendan the Navigator Church in Shallotte, NC on Friday February 6th at 10:00am. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium.
