

Mindy Sue McNellis, 71, passed away on November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 24, 1954, in New York, New York to the late Ralph and Judith Sweet Brandel. Mindy built a beautiful life centered around family and friendship.
Mindy is survived by her loving husband, Bill McNellis; her beloved son, Jacob; her sister, Lori,and brother-in-law, Jeffrey; her brother, Michael, and sister-in-law, Diane; and her nieces and
nephews — Christopher, Kevin (Noelle), Kaitlyn (John), Jennifer (Christopher), and Meghan (Jonathon) along with many adored great-nieces and great-nephews.
In her early years, Mindy devoted herself to being a full-time mother a role she considered her greatest joy and accomplishment. Later in life, she began a career in medical billing. After retiring, Mindy and family relocated to North Carolina to create new memories and enjoy time with friends and loved ones.
A cancer survivor, Mindy faced every obstacle with grace, courage, and optimism. Her warmth,positivity, and ability to stay connected with friends old and new touched countless lives. She had a gift for making loving connections, and she maintained lifelong friendships that spanned decades. She cared deeply; her family and friends knew they could rely on her in times of joy or challenge, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know her.
Mindy’s legacy will be one of love, positivity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky to know and love her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning November 18, 2025 from 10 until 11am at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Ave., Union New Jersey immediately followed by a Funeral Service at B'Nai Abraham Memorial Park Mausoleum 2600 US 22 East Union New Jersey 07083
