Nicholas Thad Fleming

Mr. Fleming was born September 8, 1952 in Gaston County, North Carolina, son of the late Charles Fleming and Rachel Shetley Fleming. He worked as Captain of Gaston County Sheriff's Office until his retirement in 2003. He was very proud of his job and enjoyed his work. After retirement he and his wife moved to Supply to be near the beach. He enjoyed fishing, meeting new friends, and spending time laughing and having fun. He served on the Board of Tri Beach Fire Department for several years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Lynn Fleming, two brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Edith "Carol" Fleming of Supply; daughter, Tonda Fleming of Supply; mother-in-law, Edith Battle; nieces, Dana, Heather, and Rachel ; nephews, Charles, Mark, Andy, David, and Buzzy; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
