Patsy Ruth Gurganus Mintz

Born in Duplin County, NC on the twenty fifth of August 1949, patsy was a daughter of the late Johnny Nicholas and Vera Irene Byrd Gurganus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Mintz, two brothers, Johnny Ray Gurganus, James Morris Gurganus and a sister, Frances Juanita Futrell.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice Fulwood and husband Phillip of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Pamela “Punky” Simpson of the home, Tammy Lentz and husband Steve of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Allen Gurganus of Beulaville, NC, Travis Gurganus and wife Janice of Maysville, NC, Wilbert Gurganus and wife Jackie of Richlands, NC; two sisters, Betty Davis and husband Milton of Chinquapin, NC, Gloria Locklear and husband Mike of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Michael and Amber Fulwood, Emily Cruz and Kimberly Lentz; great grandchildren, Jocelyn Lentz, Noah Locklear, Natalie Cruz, Melanie Cruz, Jackson Fulwood and “Little Bean”.

Funeral services will be two o’clock in the afternoon on Monday the eleventh of December 2017 in the Chapel of White Funeral & Cremation Service, Shallotte by The Reverend Landis Lancaster. Interment will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.

Casket bearers will be Milton Davis, Travis Gurganus, Angel Cruz, Matthew Locklear, Allen Gurganus and Adam Locklear.
