Peggy Jean Baker

Mrs. Baker was born August 9, 1938 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Andrew Jones and Rena Jones. She worked at Minuteman Food Mart in Shallotte for almost twenty years where she enjoyed talking with many of her customers. Until her declining health she enjoyed traveling and attended Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by a grandson, Marty McDonald.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Debby McDonald and husband Martin of Supply; four grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Tammy Young, Michael Lake, and Ryan McDonald; and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 6, 2019 at three o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina with Pastor Gary Hewett officiating.

The family will receive friends from two until three o’clock at the funeral home.
