Peter John Jackowski

Mr. Jackowski was born November 7, 1937 in Long Island, New York, son of the late Stephen A. Jackowski and Sophia Niksa Jackowski. Peter grew up in North Bellmore, on Long Island and was a veteran of the United States Army. He married his wife of 60 years, Carole, on May 13, 1961. Peter was a Ford salesman for over thirty years, a volunteer fireman and Commissioner in Bohemia, NY for 33 years and an avid fisherman. He and Carole retired to Supply North Carolina in 2000.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Marlene Eccleston and husband Albert and brother-in-law, Charles Marino.

Survivors include his wife Carole Jackowski of Supply; four sons, Stephen Jackowski and wife Susan of Middle Island, New York, Thomas J. Jackowski and wife Maureen of Garner, North Carolina, Robert M. Jackowski and ex-wife Melissa of Garner, North Carolina, and James P. Jackowski of Hometown, Pennsylvania; one brother, Stephen Jackowski and wife Diane of Cazenovia, New York; his twin sister, Barbara Marino of Boca Raton, Florida; brother-in-law, William Hons of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Joy Hons of Lindenhurst, New York and Cheryl Brennan and husband James of Clermont, Florida; ten grandchildren, Daniel, Gregory, Joshua, Briana, Jacquelyn, Jacob, Travis, James Jr., Zophia, and Jessica; and nine great grandchildren, Riley, Ellie, Tyler, Greyson, Grady, Sawyer, Emmitt, Julian, and Isabella.

A memorial service will be Thursday, August 12, 2021 at four o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from two o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home.
