Rick was born February 12, 1954 in Indiana, son of the late Gerald Dwyer and Juanita Saylor Dwyer. He was a fantastic Husband, Dad, and Papa. Rick was dependable, honest, straightforward, quiet, yet subtly spunky, calm, levelheaded, a hard worker, fair, and kind. If you ever met him, you knew he was a good man. He was an avid Indiana University sports fan, enjoyed reading and grilling.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jody Dwyer of Ocean Isle Beach; one daughter, Jennifer Dixon and husband Malcolm of Winston-Salem; two grandsons, Michael and Marshall Dixon; one brother, Randy Dwyer and wife Lisa of Destin, Florida; and Aunt Joan Dwyer of Bloomington, Indiana.
