Robert Howard Janeda

Born on September 11, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph Valentine Janeda and Sarah Ellen Mugrage Janeda. After serving 28 years in the military he retired from the United States Coast Guard in 1991 and set anchor in Brunswick County to raise his family. During his retirement his enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Sirius Janeda, three brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years Mary Ann Janeda of the home; children, Lena Gales and husband Scott of Leland, Steppie Janeda and wife Kathryne of Tacoma, Washington, and Cynthia Kipp and husband Joseph of Ash; one brother, Joseph "Joe" Janeda of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one sister Ellen Hensel of New Matamoras, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Alexandra, Dalen, Diamond, Stephen, Alaina, and Joseph.

A memorial service with military honors will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.
