

Bobby was born October 18, 1950 in Greensboro, North Carolina, son of the late Robert Shepard and Mildred Shelton Shepard Trent. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam as an auto mechanic. Bobby also worked as a concrete boom truck driver for many years. He enjoyed watching westerns and NASCAR races on television, especially pulling for his favorite, Dale Earnhardt. He loved beach music and could often be seen dancing with a cigarette and his favorite beer. Being outside was a favorite pastime to him. He enjoyed tinkering on many things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Daddy, Lewis Trent, and two sisters, Karen Shepard and Cindy Doty.
Survivors include his five children, Bobbie Massey and husband Paul “Pauline” as he was often called, their daughter Kira, son Chris and wife Hailey and their family, Casidy, CJ, and Connor; Barbi Holmes and her family; Emily Willis and husband Zach and family, Michael and Emersyn; Cassie Shepard and husband Steven Faust and family Esmeray and Lia; and Anna Alford and husband Darren and family Lincoln, Westyn, and Bentley; one brother Kim Shepard; three sisters, Marsha Cochran and husband Wayne, Sharon Jarvis and partner Tommy Buzzetta and Sandi Caudle and husband Eddie; and a host of other family and friends.
A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at one o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina. An informal Celebration of Life will follow at two o’clock. Military honors will follow the service.
