Ronald Olen Hodges

Ron was born on May 1, 1950, in Arcadia, Florida. He pursued higher education at Tampa College, where he earned a business degree. His career led him to the construction industry, where he specialized in stucco products, contributing his expertise and dedication to the field.

A proud veteran, Ron volunteered to serve in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam. His service reflected his commitment to his country and his willingness to stand for something greater than himself.

Beyond his professional and military life, Ron found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He cherished every moment with them and took pride in being an active presence in their lives.

Ron is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Kathy Hodges; his nephews Lane and Kyle Hodges; his oldest son Brad Hodges; his daughter Ashley Cornelius; his son Dan Hodges and daughter-in-law Lauren Hodges; as well as his beloved grandchildren Riley (14), Sophia (11), William (8), Claire (7), and Christian (7). He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Hodges.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at White Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte, North Carolina, 28470. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice in Ron’s memory.
