

Ruby Joan Annette Trouw, who was born on July 4, 1938 at home in Metuchen, New Jersey passed away on March 11, 2024 at Autumn Care in Shallotte, North Carolina. She was a beautiful, loving person who was loved by all who knew her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Charles Arthur Davis and Doris Baker Moore Davis Breffle; stepfather, Ernest Breffle; siblings, Gloria Francine Grenninger, Carolyn Lenore Smith, David Howard Leroy Davis; first husband, Albert DiNatale who although they divorced, was the love of her life; and second husband, Norman S. Trouw.
Survivors include her sister, Nancy Anne Jack; brother, Charles Arthur Davis, Jr. (Bonnie); her cherished children, Cynthia Clough (David), Jean Kelley (Paul), Albert DiNatale, Jr., Edward DiNatale (Maureen), Mark DiNatale, and Gregory Trouw. She was blessed by her grandchildren, Christine Kelly (Sean), Foster Van Ness (Sarah), Christopher Van Ness (Diana), Sean Van Ness (Angela), Walter "Paul" Kelley, III (Laura), Tyler Kelley (Christina), Albert DiNatale III, Anthony DiNatale, Vincent DiNatale, Larissa Cooney (Andrew), Lauren Valdora (Anthony), Isabella DiNatale and twelve great grandchildren. Ruby also leaves behind her beloved niece Susan Schlobach (John) who lived with her for a year to help Ruby remain living independently as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Ruby grew up in Maine and New Jersey, and retired to North Carolina to be nearer her sister Nancy where she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, gardening, baking and sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren when possible. Some of these gifts she passed along to her granddaughters. She was involved in Missions while living in Maine and served on the Maine World Mission Board traveling the state of Maine and U.S. for presentations and conferences. She was a devoted representative for Mission "Serrv" where she traveled the state of Maine in order to sell the handmade items offered by the Serrv Organization.
A memorial service will be held March, 30, 2024 at ten o'clock in the morning at Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Rd SW, Sunset Beach, NC 28468 and in New Jersey on April 13, 2024 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Bible Baptist Church, 100 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
