Mr. Meadows was born March 27, 1936, son of the late Virgil and Meekie Meadows. Mr. Meadows retired from the United States Marine Corp after 20 years of service. He then worked 20 additional years for Dupont. Ted enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Earlene Inman Meadows; three children, Rhonda Boyd and husband Ricky, Pamela Leggett and husband Gerald, and Matthew Meadows and wife Judith; five grandchildren, Kristine Ludke and husband Josh, Jillian Rigby and husband Adam, Dillon Boyd and wife Amy, Jacob Boyd and wife Rebekah, and Kala Kelly and husband Matt; seven great-grandchildren, Hayley, Sawyer, Dawson, Jackson, Beau, Maggie, and Liara; and a sister, Georgia Woody.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, John Meadows, Lewis Meadows, Virgil Meadows, Willis Meadows, Mike Meadows, and Sarah Smith.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4669 Mintz St, Shallotte, NC 28470/ The family will have visitation at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Inman Cemetery in Ash.
