Mr. Rash was born in Carter County, Tennessee on February 2, 1939 and was the son of the late Howard and Bertha Combs Rash. He retired from the furniture industry. Following his retirement he and his wife moved to Supply. He worked at the Holden Beach Pier and operated a small lawn maintenance business. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Reese.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Rash of the home; three sons, Daniel Rash and wife Vanessa of Tn., Dennis Rash of Lenoir, NC and Chris Rash of Hickory, NC; two step-sons, Jeff Greene and wife Tammy of Stony Point, NC and Jerry Greene and wife Crystal of Lenoir, NC seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
