Vera Mae Smith, 85, of Supply died Thursday May 14th, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Smith was born on January 30, 1935 in Rich Square, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Johnny and Annie Mae Whittington Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Smith. She was a member of Full Life Fellowship Church of Ash.

She is survived by two sons, Herbert Baugham Jr. and wife Lynn of Nashville, NC, Randy Baugham and wife Jackie of Nashville, NC; a daughter, Robin Hans of Supply; a brother, Hugh Gibson of Oklahoma; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Bright of Greensboro; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Saturday May 16, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Lou Ellen White Chapel in Shallotte. Burial services followed in the Silent Grove Cemetery in Supply NC. Services were officiated by the Reverend Donnie Jones and Reverend Sammy Jacobs.

Mom I can't believe you are gone. She was a wonderful lady inside and out. You knew she was a child of God by the way she treated and spoke to you. I will always remember her smile every time I saw her no matter how she felt or what was happening her smile was there. Thank you for showing me Gods love. I will miss you.
