Virgil Moseley Hill Jr.

Mr. Hill was born in Kinston, NC on May 24, 1945 and was the son of the late Virgil Moseley Hill Sr. and Ruth Ketchum Hill. He was preceded in death by his daughter in-law, Jennifer Hill, a brother in-law, Jesse Wethington and a nephew Mickey Wethington. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Hill retired from Heilig Meyers Furniture following many years in retail sales. He loved his country and was an avid N.C. Tarheel fan. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hill; a son, Bryan Hill of Youngsville, NC; grandchildren, Hunter Hill, Maggie Hill and Allison Lewis; a sister, Velvaleigh Duncan of Shallotte; brother in-law, Robert Wethington and wife Becky of Havelock, NC, sister in-law, Patti Wethington of Deep Run, NC; nieces, Ahna Stallings, Leigh Ann Graham; nephews, J. Scott Stallings, Jesse Wethington, Michael Wethington, Ricky Wethington and Kevin Wethington.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 8, 2023 at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Lou White Memorial Chapel of White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte with Reverend Joe Needham officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.

Interment will follow next week at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, NC.
