Jewell Hoskins

Doris Jewell (Acton) Hoskins of Fairfield, Ohio and the wife of (deceased) Thomas R. Hoskins passed away on August 15, 2016. She was born in London, Kentucky on December 7, 1923 to Everett and Eliza (Adams) Acton. She is survived by a son, Glenn R. Mason, Fairfield Ohio; daughter Cynthia (Lee) Meredith, Nokomis FL; and step-son Thomas R. Hoskins Jr., Bloomington Minnesota.

Also twelve grandchildren; Jennifer (Rick) Marshall, Melissa (Mike) Carras, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Goble, Tamara & Lori Goble; Hannah, Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, Elijah, Noah and Jonah Meredith, and one step-granddaughter; SaraBeth (Phil) Mantia. Fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Rita (Mason) Goble; step-daughter, Kathleen (Hoskins) Gosselin; daughter-in-law Karen Mason; brothers Lawrence, Omer, Eugene, and Gordon Acton; sister Aretta Acton and husband Raymond A. Mason, who was killed in WW2.

She was a member of Lindenwald United Methodist Church, a KY Colonel and retired from the U.S. Department of Defense. Visitation August 27, 2016 from 10:00am to 11:45m at Schmidt Dhonau Kucner Funeral Home 10980 Reading Rd. Sharonville, Ohio. Funeral service to follow at 12pm. Interment immediately follow at Rose Hill Burial Hamilton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Syrian Shriners Hospital for Children or Lindenwald United Methodist Church (Hamilton, Ohio).
