Worked with John at Delano CA for Voice of America. Super individual always strove to do the best, worked problems until they were solved, an excellent example all around. He enjoyed Amateur radio contesting and taught me lots. Rest well John you were a good man.

John's friends at U.S. International Broadcasting's Network Control Center in Washington, D.C., fondly remember his contributions to IBB's program delivery network.  John served the agency at the Bethany, Ohio, and Delano, California, transmitting stations; as well as here at the Network Control Center in Washington.  We were saddened to learn of his passing, and offer our heartfelt condolences to John's family.

I worked with John at BBG in Washington DC we were very good friends, the mover of some things and he would bring in some white castle burgers to share with me really missed him when he retired from work, we would stay in touch really miss him may GOD bless him RIP JOHN!!!

Knew John via our radio hobbies and professions.  Was one of the "good guys".  A loss to all who knew him well or met him in passing.

John was a valuable member of the hobby radio community, and I as well as others will miss him and the knowledge he shared.

To Live In Hearts John Left Behind Is Not To Die.

I am saddened by the death of john.  I worked with him for a long time at the VOA and we became good friends.  I shall remember his family in my prayers.  I wish I could be at his formal, sadly it cannot be.

I was so very sorry to hear the news of John's passing. I know he fought long and hard to get well enough to come to our 50 Year Class Reunion.  As you said, Evelia, I know he will be with his beloved classmates in spirit.  He will be deeply missed.  The Northeast High School Class of '65 sends our sympathies to you and your family.

Phil and I are saddened by the news of John's passing. He was a great person. We have many great memories of our times in the early 70's. Especially as it relates to ham radio. We enjoyed his surprise phone calls over the years. May our Lord grant you peace and comfort in the days to come.
