Dear Lorenz Family, on behalf of the John Koetz family I was very stunned to see the obituary today and very sorry that I did not see it sooner so that our family could have been at the services. Your mom and dad were such great friends of our parents even after their move to Columbus. They were wonderful, kind people. Our days growing up on Bell Avenue were so enriched by being part of all of your lives. We, who grew up in that neighborhood, were so very blessed to be raised by the parents that we had - I think that's where the expression started: "it takes a village to raise a child" because the parents looked out for all the kids. Some of the best times of our lives were spent there. Your mother especially was extremely kind, generous and soft-spoken. I am so sorry for your loss but now we know all the old clan - the Koetz's, the Elsbrocks and the Lorenz's are up in heaven laughing and having a great time once again.
