Ovle Okey Winter

Ovle Okey, 80 of Cincinnati, OH formerly of Jackson County and Dunbar, WV, passed away on Sunday March 26, 2017 at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Ovle was the oldest of six children, born to the late Ovle Dale Winter and Mabel Gladys Winter on April 25, 1936. He married Patricia McCallister of Charleston on Dec. 25, 1962. Ovle served in the US Army from 1959 to 1962. After his discharge from the Army he worked for McClean Trucking in Charleston and in 1965 was transferred to Cincinnati, Ohio. After McClean Trucking closed he went to work for and later retired from Roadway Trucking. Ovle was a devoted and loving son, brother, husband and uncle. He is preceded in death by his parents, his father and mother-in-law Lonnie and Pauline McCallister, Brothers-in-law Randy McCallister, John Coleman, Jerry Bowen, sister-in-law Rose McCallister, niece Sandra Coleman and great niece Morgan Cummings. Ovle is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Patricia McCallister Winter, Brothers: Eugene (Beverly) Winter of Dunbar, WV, Keith (Bonnie) Winter of Glenwood, WV, Sisters: Evelyn Coleman of Dunbar, WV, Evagene Bowen of Sott Depot, WV, Imogene Dinklocker of Dunbar, WV, Brothers-in-law: Jimmy (Debbie) McCallister, Delvin (Jeanne) McCallister of AZ, Sister-in-law B.J. McCallister of Charleston, WV, 12 nieces and nephews, 18 great-nieces and nephews, 4 great-great nieces and 1 great-great-nephew. Visitation 10:00 A.M. – 11:45 A.M., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Schmidt-Dhonau-Kucner Funeral Home, 10980 Reading Rd., Sharonville, OH 45241. Funeral service to follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.
